Destiny Wedding was founded in 2014 as the creative project of Matija Marcius. In 2020, his daughter, Leonarda Marcius, joined the team and took over the photography segment,
while Matija shifted his focus toward video production and the creation of printed materials.
The story of Destiny Wedding began spontaneously — with the very first inquiry for wedding photography.
At the time, Matija already had extensive experience in documentary and studio photography, so moving into the world of weddings came naturally,
as a new challenge that combined knowledge, aesthetics, and creativity.
Our Energy
From the beginning, we have nurtured a close yet professional relationship with our clients. It is important for us to truly understand your energy,
because only then can we create work that genuinely reflects who you are.
We work exclusively in an individual and personalized way — we don’t use templates, follow clichés, or force emotions. We adapt to you: some couples feel most at ease with a spontaneous,
flowing dynamic, while others prefer gentle guidance and posing. In both cases, our goal is the same — to make everything look and feel natural.
Technical Approach
Quality is our foundation. We invest continuously in both knowledge and technique — through formal education at the Photography School in Zagreb,
various workshops, online programs, and mentorships.
Our technical standards are high because we believe that meaningful moments deserve flawless execution.

Matija
Photographer, filmmaker, drone operator & creative director. As the founder of Destiny Wedding, Matija leads film production and oversees the creation of our printed materials, bringing together the technical and creative sides of the studio.
Kristijan
Filmmaker & drone operator. Kristijan brings a dynamic and observant approach to wedding films, capturing movement, atmosphere and the moments that naturally unfold throughout the day, both on the ground and from above.
Patricia
Photographer. Patricija brings a thoughtful eye for composition, emotion and detail, capturing the atmosphere of each wedding while staying true to our natural and timeless approach.
HOW WE WORK – PHOTOGRAPHY?
Throughout the wedding day, our focus is on movement, emotion, and spontaneity. It is important to us that moments are never forced or staged, but allowed to unfold naturally and authentically. At the same time, we aim to incorporate four key elements that shape our visual style – cinematic, editorial, fine art, and documentary. Each brings a different perspective to the story: from atmosphere and a cinematic feel, through thoughtful composition and aesthetics, to an artistic approach and the authentic documentation of each moment.
Throughout the wedding day, each photographer captures between 2,000 and 6,000 photographs, depending on the pace and schedule of the day. Naturally, we also document all important formal moments, while approaching them in a way that preserves their emotion and atmosphere and, whenever possible, adds a distinctive artistic touch.
After the wedding, we create a private online gallery where we upload around one hundred Highlights — the first, unedited photographs that allow you to relive a small part of your day shortly after the wedding and share it with your family and friends.
The couple has separate access to the gallery, distinct from the guest access. Through this private access, you can hide photographs you do not wish to make visible to your guests, as well as create your own lists of favourite images.
During the editing process, our goal is to preserve the spontaneity and authenticity of each moment, with particular attention to the subject, composition, and overall atmosphere. From the large number of photographs captured throughout the day, we carefully select those that meet our technical and artistic standards.
The selected photographs then go through our meticulous TRUE TO COLOR editing process. We do not use ready-made filters or presets; instead, each photograph is edited individually to ensure that the colours remain natural, clean, and true to life. Depending on the package, the final delivery includes between 300 and 2,000 professionally edited photographs.
HOW WE WORK – VIDEO / FILM?
Throughout the filming process, our focus is on movement, emotion, and storytelling. It is important to us that moments unfold naturally, without unnecessary direction or staging, while we use A-roll and B-roll to create different perspectives of the same day. A-roll follows the key events from an observer’s perspective, while B-roll captures details, emotions, and spontaneous moments through closer shots and varied angles.
Throughout the day, we strive to find the right balance between a documentary and cinematic approach. We create rhythm through variations in pacing and framing — from wide shots that establish the setting and context, to details and intimate moments that carry the emotion. Our goal is to document what truly happened while simultaneously shaping it into a visually considered and cohesive cinematic story.
We film with professional mirrorless cameras in 6K/7K, oversampled to 4K, using LOG 2/3 formats. This approach gives us a wide dynamic range and greater control over the image during post-production. We place particular emphasis on professional colour grading, giving each film its distinctive cinematic look.
Our standard delivery format is 21:9 widescreen, with a resolution of 2560 × 1080 px, allowing the final film to have a distinctly cinematic character and a wide visual field.
Depending on the selected package, we create different formats:
Trailer — a short video of up to 1 minute (Cine style / 21:9)
A short, atmospheric video designed to set the mood and build anticipation.
Reel Video — a vertical video of up to 45 seconds (9:16)
Highlights — a cinematic film of approximately 3 minutes (Cine style / 21:9)
Short Film — a dynamic film of up to 10 minutes (Cine style / 21:9)
Extended Film — a documentary-style film of up to 60 minutes (Cine style / 21:9)
